What you can play here

The catalog starts wide and narrows down: the whole world, then its six continent quizzes, then the Middle East and Central America as regions of their own. The U.S. states quiz and the China quiz go the other way and stay inside a single country.

One quiz gives you a clue instead of a name: a fact about a country — a capital city or a superlative such as the largest by area — and you work out which country it is before clicking it on the map. Another skips the map altogether and gives you five minutes to type as many country names as you can.

How a round works

A round asks up to 25 questions. Each one names a country, a state or a region that you then click on the map: a correct click scores a point straight away, and a wrong one turns that region red so you can try again. The round ends with your score, your accuracy and a list of the places you missed.

Free, no sign-up, four languages

Every quiz is free, runs in the browser and needs no account. Your scores are kept on your own device rather than on a server, and the whole site is available in English, German, French and Spanish.
